The travel adventure begins:
Having just finished graduate school to become a Spanish teacher, I took my first study abroad trip to Salamanca, Spain. This trip marked the beginning of an entire decade of international travel that would define my life story. I apologize for the low resolution of the Salamanca photos, as the camera I used was already pretty old in 2011 when I visited.
In Salamanca, I stayed with a host family and took Spanish classes at the Don Quijote Spanish school. I pushed myself to meet as many people as I could and reach outside my comfort zone.
Being in Salamanca inspired me to study abroad every summer for as long as I taught Spanish. Immersing myself in the language and culture of another country was an educational experience more valuable than any other, and I wanted more. So, in 2012, I picked another program and went to a new country...
